2^nd ANHS Alumni Grand Reunion & Homecoming

The ANHS Alumni Association declares that the 2nd ANHS Alumni Grand Reunion and Homecoming will push though by May 2009. This is the 41st years of ANHS since its foundation in 1968. ANHS celebrates Ruby or 40th Year Celebration last year

ANHS Alumni Association to Conduct Alumni Gathering every month of May

There was a report that the Alumni Officials are planning to conduct the annual alumni gathering every month of May. Accordingly, such plan was already discussed by the Alumni Officers and Board in the past few months ago. The reason for such plan was to make the annual alumni reunion more jolly and memorable event.

In a colloquial conversation sometimes in July 2008 with Ms. Luniza P. Garrido, the Alumni President and currently the Branch Manager of Green Bank of Caraga – Kitcharao Branch, told that the annual alumni grand reunion and homecoming might be held every month of May to highlight the occasion as part of the town fiesta. Every May 15 is the annual town fiesta of the Municipality of Alegria. President Garrido said that it will be a joyful festivity if the alumni gathering will be part of the annual town fiesta. She further said that the Alumni might sponsor activities for the town fiesta such as hosting and sponsoring the Balik-Bayan Nights or other program activities. She added that the month of May is favorable for members of alumni especially those who are working abroad and from other places to visit the school and hometown since it is the annual town fiesta. “Character counts a lot in all human endeavors”, awardee is told. Significant achievements and awards of the outstanding Science Club Adviser of Caraga Region came through perseverance, determination and competence. Dr. Ruben L. Abucayon, of Alegria National high School was proclaimed as one of the Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI) Outstanding Teachers of the Philippines. He is third winner from Surigao del Norte list of awardees. His optimism able him to pass this years final Board of Judges standards chaired by Senator Richard J. Gordon with Supreme Court Associate Justice Ma. Alicia Austria-Martinez as Vice-Chair. Joining them in selecting the country’s best mentor’s of the year were Congressman Jose Carlos V. Lacson of the 3rd District of Negros Occidental; Secretary Esperanza I. Cabral, M.D, Department of Social Welfare and Development; Mayor Segfrido R. Tiñga of Taguig City; Br. Armin Luisto, President of De La Salle Philppines; Atty. Francis Ed.
